How to Use Catalog Cards
Posted on October 17 2022
Store one annotated Catalog Card with each of your favorite records to keep your memories and collection accessible and well-preserved. Completed Catalog Cards should always be stored with the record- so that information stays accessible!
With over 20+ fields for metadata, listening notes, grading and personal memories you can choose how much information to fill out for each album.
For every rare, favorite or special record in your collection fill in one card. Write as much or as little detail as you'd like to be included in your personal library. Use archival pen included with cards for best results.
Here are our top 3 recommended ways to store our Catalog Cards:
Option 1: Store Catalog Card with your record, placed on the front side of the album jacket, in the lower left corner of the clear outer sleeve. This way your card is visible and easy to read when flipping through records.
Option 2: Store Catalog Card with your record, placed on the back side of the album jacket, in the lower right corner of the clear outer sleeve. This method keeps your card accessible and easy to read, but doesn’t block any album art.
Option 3: If you do not use clear outer sleeves* on your records, store Catalog Card with your record, tucked inside the album jacket. This way your annotated card is safe and stays with your record, but it won't be visible while browsing.
*I recommend using clear outer sleeves for important records, because they help protect your records from dust, and protect the outer paper jacket from wear and tear.
Catalog Cards are $27.50 for a notepad of 50 cards plus ink pen.
