We make wood dividers for organizing a wide variety of media, from vinyl records to books, CDs, Blu-ray and different shelved materials. In addition to our standard sizes, we can also make custom sizes to suit your specific space and needs.
We currently offer 3 beautiful lettering options: Stencil (cut out), Futura (engraved) and Gold Futura (engraved). If none of those options are to your liking, you are welcome to send us an email with a request for a custom order. For custom typefaces we have an order minimum of $300 and your typeface must meet our requirements for legibility (as well as our harder-to-define approval specs for production, aesthetics, etc).
In order to provide you with an accurate price estimate, please include the following information in your email:
- Panel size and type of media you want custom dividers for (LPs, 45s, CDs, DVDs, books, etc)
- How the media will be stored (on shelves, in crates, etc) Send a photo if that's easier!
- Number of panels you'd like to order (some sizes have order minimums)
- Lettering style (Engraved, Gold or Stencil) See options here
- Anything else you'd like us to include on the panels (typeface, logo, language, etc)
If you have a piece of furniture that you'd like us to make custom dividers for, we can do that, too! Our products are compatible with many cabinets, shelving and vinyl storage furniture brands, including Symbol Audio and Atocha Design.
During extremely busy production periods (November 28th-January 7th) custom orders are not available.
PRICING + PRODUCTION
Pricing is based on the number of panels and complexity of the design. Custom orders may be subject to order minimums, depending on size of panels and customization. All custom orders are final sale and may not be returned or exchanged. Payment must be received in full prior to the start of production of your custom item(s). For non-standard size or highly customized orders, we will send you a final proof via PDF for your approval. After we receive your approval, your order will be placed in our production queue.
For orders that do not require PDF proofs, no changes or edits will be accepted 24 hours after receiving your order. Please proof-read and spell check your order before purchase.
For orders with PDF proofs, no changes will be accepted once we have written approval by email. Depending on the quantity ordered and our production queue, production time on custom orders is typically 3–5 weeks.
We love working with labels and record shops! We offer retailer discounts for larger custom and wholesale orders. We can customize our standard products, or create a custom divider set with your logo/personalized genre, etc. If you're interested in ordering custom panels for your label or shop, please email us to start the conversation. Please note: For any logos or custom artwork, Koeppel Design assumes you have obtained the rights to reproduce any copyrighted or trademarked images, logos, or artwork you have provide to be reproduced, and accepts no legal responsibility for reproducing legally protected materials.
PRAISE FROM OUR CUSTOM DESIGN CLIENTS
"We furnished our entire record store with Koeppels' record dividers. Our customers love them just as much as we do. We have ordered more dividers as the store grew and Kate and her company were able to help us immediately and shipped quickly, Also, did we mention how beautiful they are? thanks KK / RD!"
- Kristian Sorge, Shop Owner | Limited to One NYC
"Working with Koeppel was seamless and refreshing from the genesis. Their principal mantra of "We make record-hoarding look damn good" goes hand-in-hand with what I've always said about collecting: "there's a fine line between collecting + hoarding". And the finest line is a comely designed, wonderfully constructed, completely customizable divider(s). I deeply care about aesthetics and cleanliness, so they were a no-brainer. Koeppel met my overly OCD, albeit pedantic desire to have over 50 genre cards with great enthusiasm. Serendipitously they construct their dividers using the same sourced wood I used for my custom-built shelving + (tasty) crates. Combine all of that and you have one hell - or kismet if you prefer - of a collaboration."
