After nearly twelve years of Koeppel Design, I have decided to close my business. Along with the typical challenges in growing a business as a solo entrepreneur, this life-changing journey has been rewarding and full of delight. The decision to close hasn’t been an easy one, however it’s time for something new.
This will be my last holiday season, with plans to close completely within the next nine months. Nothing dire has precipitated this change; my business is profitable and has grown year-over-year since I designed my first product- followed by another twenty-six products over the last decade. Last year, I decided to discontinue a large part of my product line in hopes of slowing down and evaluating my next phase. Through this, I realized I am ready for a different area of focus to apply my design experience and problem-solving skills.
This news may be sad or frustrating for some of you, and I want to express my deep appreciation for my clients and collaborators who have been with me on this journey. I’ve had the privilege of taking small ideas, testing them, building them, and watching them grow and spread across the world. I know my products hold a special place in many of your homes, workplaces, music collections, and memories. I’ve experienced profound connection and satisfaction designing for you. I also want to thank the small businesses, vendors and makers who share my values and helped shape my vision. I have grown with the support of so many of you.
Here’s what will happen next: I’ll be launching new holiday gift sets at 20% off, available through the holiday season. If you’ve been considering a purchase, now is the time to act. In early 2025, I will continue selling all products until they are sold out or a final goodbye date is set.
