We Don't Ship Hate | Boycott Uline

Posted on November 06 2020

Back in July, I announced my plan to end Koeppel Design's relationship with Uline. Since then, I have found so much support from my community of small business owners, and together we have started to build a set of alternative resources to help myself and others end their relationships with Uline. While we are still working through the last few stickers and a couple boxes from our last order in May, I have found replacements for all our previous Uline supplies, and that feels really powerful!

Why Boycott Uline?
Uline is a massive contributor to hateful politics, hateful political campaigns, and truly scary policy that impacts all of us. This IG post by Alice Du really captures the issue quickly and easily. The #boycottuline hashtag also has a lot of resources AND there is a IG @ulineboycott shares more news and updates. The NY Times shared a great piece covering the founders Dick and Liz Uihlein in 2018, but guess what? They've only doubled down on contributions to hate since then, in over $30 million+ in the last few years.

Uline offers really cheap shipping supplies with a very fast turnaround, which is hard for many small businesses to turn away from.

If you'd like to check out these resources, or share them with your company or business, please do! All the resources are available here

This folder includes many Uline alternatives + a free downloadable cute-as-hell Fragile sticker to help you end your relationship with Uline! I designed the sticker and am giving the file away to anyone who wants to use it for any personal or business use.

The "We Don't Ship Hate" poster project is a collaborative project between SF-based Koeppel Design & The Aesthetic Union and Seattle artist Taylor Colledge.
This project is a collaborative project is designed to help more small and medium businesses show their support of the Uline Boycott. We have a voice, and we can make an impact!

Throughout the holiday season,  Koeppel Design & The Aesthetic Union will be sending out free 5x7 posters in holiday orders. In addition, if you live in the Bay Area and would like a poster for your business, you can come pick one up at our studio.
